Rain Bird Sprinkler Repair Across the DFW Metroplex

We Know the Equipment

Rain Bird is one of the most common systems in DFW. We work on their controllers, valves, heads, and nozzles every week, so nothing about your system is unfamiliar territory.

Rain Bird Parts on the Truck

We stock Rain Bird valves, nozzles, rotors, and spray bodies. Most repairs finish on the same visit instead of waiting on a parts run.

Diagnosis Before Parts

We find out what actually failed before anything gets replaced. A dead zone is usually a valve, a solenoid, or wiring, not the controller everyone blames first.

Three Year Warranty

Every repair carries our three year parts and labor warranty, backed by a TCEQ-licensed irrigator rather than a seasonal crew.

Rain Bird Sprinkler Problems We Fix

A Zone Stopped Running
The controller says the zone is on but nothing comes up. Usually a failed solenoid, a stuck valve, or a break in the field wire.
The System Will Not Shut Off
Water keeps running after the program ends. A torn diaphragm or debris in the valve keeps it from seating closed.
Heads Sitting Up Out of the Grass
Spray bodies that stop retracting sit proud of the grade and get hit by the mower. We see this on Uni-Spray bodies in particular, and we replace them with something that stays down.
Low Pressure in One Zone
Weak spray in a single zone points at the valve flow control, a partially open valve, or a leak between the valve and the heads.
Water Pooling at the Valve Box
Standing water around the box means a leaking valve body or a failed connection below grade.
The Controller Is Not Responding
On older Rain Bird units the dial itself can fail. On the newer screen-based units it is more often a power or wiring problem than the controller.

Most repairs finish on the same visit with parts we stock on the truck.

Equipment

Rain Bird Parts and Equipment We Service

From the controller on the wall to the last nozzle on the zone. These ride with us, so a diagnosis usually turns into a finished repair the same afternoon.

DV & DVF Valves
The valve family under most Rain Bird residential systems. We rebuild them when the diaphragm or solenoid is the problem and replace them when the body is cracked.
Solenoids
The electromagnetic coil that opens the valve. A common cause of a zone that will not start, and a quick swap when the valve box was built with enough room to work in.
Spray Bodies & Uni-Spray
Pop-up spray bodies that stop retracting, leak at the seal, or sit too low after years of soil movement. We carry replacements and set them at the right height.
5000 Series Rotors
The rotor on most Rain Bird turf zones. We stock them, and we adjust arc and radius on site rather than leaving a zone throwing water at the driveway.
VAN & Fixed-Arc Nozzles
Variable-arc and fixed-arc nozzles for spray zones. Matched to the space so the zone actually covers what it is supposed to cover.
Controllers
Older dial units and the newer screen-based ones. We program them, trace wiring faults back from them, and tell you honestly when one does not need replacing.

How a Rain Bird Service Call Goes

From diagnosis to a zone you have watched run, here is what to expect.

1

Diagnose

We test electrically and mechanically to find what actually failed, rather than replacing parts until the symptom goes away.

2

Quote

You get clear pricing and an explanation of what we found before any work starts.

3

Repair

Rain Bird parts come off our truck, so most repairs finish on the same visit.

4

Test

We run the zone through the controller and watch the full cycle before we leave.

Rain Bird Questions We Actually Get

The things Rain Bird owners ask us on the phone before booking.

Do you work on Rain Bird systems?

Yes, every week. Rain Bird is one of the most common systems in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We are familiar with their controllers, valves, spray bodies, rotors, and nozzles, and we carry their parts on the truck.

One Rain Bird zone stopped working. Is the controller bad?

Almost never. A dead zone traces to a valve, a solenoid, or a wiring fault far more often than to the controller, and that is true on any brand. We diagnose the real cause first and tell you what we found before repairing anything.

My Rain Bird heads are sticking up out of the lawn.

Spray bodies that stop retracting sit above the grade where the mower catches them. It is a wear issue rather than something you did wrong. We replace the body and set it at the correct height so it stays down.

Do you carry Rain Bird parts, or do I need to buy them?

We carry them. Valves, solenoids, spray bodies, rotors, and nozzles are standard truck stock, which is why most Rain Bird repairs get finished on the first visit.

The dial on my Rain Bird controller does not work.

That is a real failure on the older dial-based units rather than a programming mistake. Most of the newer Rain Bird controllers do not use a dial at all. We can tell you which one you have and what your options are.

Will you try to sell me a new controller?

No. If your controller is working we will say so and leave it on the wall. We only recommend replacing one when it has actually failed or when it cannot do something you specifically want it to do.
